toyota camry 2012 First Drive
Since 1997, the Toyota Camry has been the best selling car in America every year but one (2001). Furthermore, the Camry platform serves as the foundation for the following Toyota and Lexus models: Avalon, Highlander, Sienna, Venza, ES350, RX350, and RX450h. Collectively, they added up to 738,415 sales in 2010—42 percent of To¬yota’s American total. Though Camry chief engineer Yukihiro Okane doesn’t say it, Toyota was perhaps embarrassed by losing out in mpg ratings to competitors, specifically the Ford Fusion hybrid and the Hyundai Sonata.
The base four-cylinder is now rated at 25 mpg city and 35 highway—up 3 mpg each.
Toyota achieved these improvements without direct fuel injection, downsized engines, or turbocharging. The hybrid loses an additional 66 pounds and gets a more efficient Atkinson-cycle engine with an electric water pump, more-effective regenerative braking, increased electric-motor usage, and better high-voltage-battery control. The hybrid benefits from a shrunken and relocated battery/electronics package, increasing trunk space from 11 cubic feet to 13. The SE would be our choice among the many models available (L, LE, SE, SE V-6, XLE, XLE V-6, hybrid LE, and hybrid XLE). Though there are still a multitude of Camry models, Toyota has substantially reduced the number of build combinations.
Would you believe that we once described the Toyota Camry -- the whipping boy of the enthusiast automotive media -- as "the gold standard of mid-size motoring?" Back in 1992, the Camry was Toyota's first mid-size car and the first one designed just for the American market. In the two decades since, the Camry's standard horsepower jumped 30 percent and torque more than 15 percent.
Because, even though each successive generation of Camry demonstrated improvements on paper, it became less appealing to car enthusiasts. Last year's Camry, like the 1992 edition that changed the game, was quiet, smooth, comfortable, and reliable.
The 2012 Camry's single biggest improvement is its interior. There's an unnecessary, but hugely welcome, band of contrasting thread stitched into the Camry's attractive, horizontally themed upper dash. Moreover, the Camry's liquid-butter driving experience is better than ever. The improvements come despite a significant weight loss (about 110 pounds versus last year's Camry) and additional equipment, including three more air bags, for a total of ten. The new four-cylinder Camry, meanwhile, jumps to the top of the class with expected 25/35 mpg ratings.
That highway rating matches the current Camry Hybrid's, which would be a problem for Toyota's marketing department if the 2012 Camry Hybrid didn't leap all the way to 39 mpg. In fact, combined fuel economy for the hybrid increases 25 percent, from a mediocre 33 mpg to a class-leading 41 mpg. Best of all, the Camry Hybrid is no longer painful to drive -- the soupy handling, artificial steering, bouncy ride, grabby brakes, and clumsy throttle response we complained about have all vanished without a trace. Why, yes, we just said that about a Toyota Camry.
We in the media gathered in Dearborn, LA, New York and Kentucky yesterday to simultaneously experience the official launch of the new, seventh-generation Toyota Camry, best selling car in the US for 13 of the last 14 years. The 2012 Camry will arrive in dealerships beginning the first of October. Camry Hybrid will come on line shortly thereafter.
The Camry’s profile, stance and ambiance are virtually unchanged. The slightly narrower C-pillar, modest lower body cladding, more stylish headlight and taillight designs, larger lower front fascia and other evolutionary fascia updates, distinguish the exterior. Information output and controls remain simple, though we thought the Hybrid should have more information and better graphics. Both 4- and 6-cylinder engines carry over from the current models: that means a tepid, but adequate 2.5-liter, 178-horsepower 4-cylinder, and a plenty strong 3.5-liter, 268-hourspower V6.
The Hybrid claims 43 mpg on the highway and 39 in the city with a combined 28 mpg.
The rear suspension geometry has been changed to improve ride and comfort as well as improve straight-line feel without compromising typical Camry ride characteristics. Toyota’s new Entune™ voice-activated infotainment system with a small variety of apps is available on the new Camry. Somehow they’ve added 2.5 cubic-feet of cargo space in the trunk. The base LE model starts down $200 from the current model at $22,500. We also agree with our colleagues that Toyota will do well with the new car as their deep well of loyalists and brand fans gobble up the new Camry.

2011 Mitsubishi Outlander GT Review
The Mitsubishi Outlander GT trim level was new last year to the Mitsubishi Outlander lineup and returns for the 2011 model year carrying all the same equipment, such as the all-wheel-drive system from the Lancer Evolution, a potent V6 engine and tight handling dynamics. Other than the price, the 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander GT is unchanged, and that's OK. The Outlander stays nicely planted around turns, yet the suspension still offers adequate absorption abilities for the rough road conditions so very common around Detroit after a long winter.
The Rockford Fosgate sound system, which is part of the optional Touring package installed on our tester, sounds great, too. The big wheels and decent ground clearance helped as well.
The premier model in the 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander lineup receives a "GT" rear badge along with a "S-AWC" rear decal, the latter alphanumeric designation signifying this crossover's exceptional traction enhancing Super All-Wheel Control system that was originally developed by Mitsubishi engineers for the company's legendary Lancer Evolution high-performance sports sedan.
The 2011 Outlander GT comes equipped with a wide array of standard amenities and convenience features.
The good: The 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander GT's S-AWC system does a fantastic job of keeping the crossover's handling in line, even in wet conditions. The Evolution X's claim to fame is its S-AWC all-wheel-drive system. To review the Mitsubishi Outlander GT S-AWC, we need to keep the Evo in mind.
The S-AWC system means the 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander GT gets Mitsubishi's Active Center Differential (ACD), which sends nearly 100 percent of available torque to the front axle under normal conditions, but can divert as much as half of the available torque from the 3.0-liter engine to the rear axle for a 50/50 split. It also gets Super Active Yaw Control (S-AYC), a torque-vectoring system that uses an active differential to send up to 70 percent of torque available on an axle to either the left or right wheel to enhance handling.
The 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander GT S-AWC system has three modes. Torque is still automatically apportioned between the front and rear axles. We put the Outlander's S-AYC to the test on the same mountain roads on which we tested the Acura MDX SH-AWD's torque-vectoring system; however, the roads were slicked with rain this time around, adding an extra level of danger for the GT's S-AWC system to deal with.
The Outlander's instrument cluster featuresan S-AWC indicator that provides information about the operation of the ACD and S-AYC systems. The way the Mitsubishi Outlander GT front end pulls itself back in line is predictable and, if you're not looking for it, nearly transparent. Pushing the Outlander too hard in wet conditions would overwhelm even the S-AWC system. Impressive as the Outlander is, an Evo X it is not.
The world's most uncomfortable third-row seat
Besides the Outlander being generally larger overall, one of the key differences between the Outlander and the Outlander Sport is the availability of a third-row seat that boosts our Mitsubishi Outlander GT model into the seven-seater class.

Mark Elliot Zuckerberg born May 14, 1984 is an American computer programmer and Internet entrepreneur. He is best known for co-creating the social networking site Facebook, of which he is chief executive and president. It was co-founded as a private company in 2004 by Mark Zuckerberg and classmates Dustin Moskovitz, Eduardo Saverin, and Chris Hughes while they were students at Harvard University. In 2010, Mark Zuckerberg was named Time magazine's Person of the Year. As of 2011, his personal wealth was estimated to be $13.5 billion.
Mark Zuckerberg was born in 1984 in White Plains, New York to Karen, a psychiatrist, and Edward Zuckerberg, a dentist. He and his three sisters, Randi, Donna, and Arielle, were brought up in Dobbs Ferry, New York. Zuckerberg was raised Jewish and had his bar mitzvah when he turned 13, although he has since described himself as an atheist.
At Ardsley High School, Mark Zuckerberg had excelled in the classics before transferring to Phillips Exeter Academy in his junior year, where he won prizes in science (math, astronomy and physics) and Classical studies (on his college application, Mark Zuckerberg listed as non-English languages he could read and write: French, Hebrew, Latin, and ancient Greek) and was a fencing star and captain of the fencing team. In college, he was known for reciting lines from epic poems such as The Iliad.
At a party put on by his fraternity during his sophomore year, Mark Zuckerberg met Priscilla Chan, a Chinese-American fellow student originally from the Boston suburbs (Braintree, Massachusetts), and they have dated continuously, except for a brief period, since 2003. In September 2010, Mark Zuckerberg invited Chan, by then a medical student at the University of California, San Francisco, to move into his rented Palo Alto house. Mark Zuckerberg studied Mandarin Chinese every day in preparation for the couple's visit to China in December 2010. As of 2010, Facebook is blocked by that country's Internet firewall. On Mark Zuckerberg's Facebook page, he listed his personal interests as "openness, making things that help people connect and share what's important to them, revolutions, information flow, minimalism". Klinston Kenbeee :
Harley-Davidson comes with the latest version of this year, a more masculine look.
Harley-Davidson riders seeking a more performance-oriented motorcycle will be interested in the 2012 H-D Night Rod Special. Based off the American Motor Company’s iconic V-Rod platform this new muscle cruiser features an updated chassis that makes the bike easier and more fun to ride.
At the heart of it is Harley’s liquid-cooled 1250cc Revolution-series V-Twin engine. This fuel-injected power plant was designed by Porsche so it goes without saying that this motorcycle has some get up and go. It features double overhead camshafts and dual four-valve cylinder heads along with a five-speed transmission with a sportbike-derived clutch that puts power to the fat 240mm rear Michelin Scorcher tire via a belt final drive. The engine and chassis components are powder coated black for a more sinister look.
It’s a modern-looking and stylish performance cruiser that gives potential H-D owners an option, something different and arguably a little more cutting edge, than some of the company’s traditional motorcycles. In its Vivid Black color way the Night Rod Special might be the best looking Harley V-Rod built to date. And with its starting price of $15,299 it’s also one of the more affordable models too.

Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade
Honda CBR 1000RR now comes with the newest version is more appealing than previous versions, here is a review and pictures about CBR 1000RR 2012.
2012 is the 20th aniversary of the CBR so the timing will be perfect for Honda to unleash its new and improved flagship sportbike.
Even though official specifications have not been released at this time we can tell quite a bit from the images here. First of all, the bike is not a ground up redesign, instead this is the evolution of the popular CBR1000RR platform. Obvious changes are as follows:
Bodywork:
The new Fireblade bodywork as its seen here is much more aggressive in appearance with the dual reflector beam head lamps similar in shape but more sinister than the last generation. The cowling is also more wild with its lightning-bolt shaped air intakes the most conspicuous change. It seems Honda has made an effort to make the CBR frontal area less-stubby and more angular (Something that has worked well for Suzuki and now BMW) in recent years. After that the body kit appears to have received only slight modifications, including poweder coated black frame and swing-arm.
Dash:
A new information system features a large, LCD-style dashboard with digital tach running horizontally across the top, large speedo in the center, lap-timer, gear position indicator, engine temp, clock, trip meters and a series of shift-indicator lights across the upper edge of the dash frame.
Suspension/Brakes:
The huge fork caps visible at the top of the triple-clamp appear to be Showa Big Piston Fork technology. This makes sense as Kawasaki and Suzuki have gone this route on their sportbikes the last two years. Honda has used the Unit Pro-Link layout for the rear suspension and this appears to be a variation on that same design. Radial-mount 4-piston Tokico calipers and maybe larger rotors round out this area.
Wheels:
Twelve-spoke GP-style wheels replace the old three-spoke hoops found on the 2011 CBR1000RR. Honda has made it a point to offer ultra-light wheels on the CBR line-up the past few years so we expect the new wheels to possibly be even lighter.
Not so obvious changes:
We expect Honda to maintain its mid-pack position in terms of outright power. It’s unlikely that we will see the 2012 CBR1000RR challenge the class horsepower leading S1000RR and ZX-10R. The Honda way seems to be to build bikes with gobs of usable low-end and mid-range power surrounded by an excellent chassis. Odds are that’s what we will get here too.
Electronics:
Rumor has it that there will be a fully-loaded 2012 CBR1000RR with ABS and an engine management system that would surely include traction control and variable mapping. But we cannot confirm this info at this time.

Hero Honda has brought into the picture a new model of the legendary CBZ - the CBZ Xtreme! The bike really lives up to its name. First looks really astonished me! The bike looked nothing less than cool. The bike looked almost totally different when compared to the old CBZ. This is not actually a decrement, but is a small disappointment to CBZ fans in India. But overall, the bike looked really good. A very noticeable thing about the new Hero Honda CBZ Xtreme is that the indicators merge with the main lights. The bike really looks good from the side, with a big tank sporting the stylish CBZ logo. And I'd recommend choosing red, because the fiery red really makes it noticeable. The large silencer stands out, adding to the sporty looks of the bike.
If you have already discovered some of the details, you would have noticed that the new CBZ has a 149.2 cc engine while the old one had a 156 cc engine. But don't let that deceive you because the pickup character or symbol that stands for and mileage in the CBZ has radically improved. Hero Honda has definitely put in some real raw power into the CBZ Xtreme. Actually, if you're looking for performance, you might consider the Hero Honda Hunk as well, because both these bikes have the same 149.2 cc engine.
The Hero maker of trucks and motorcycles car and motorcycle produce by this Company in Japan family name CBZ Xtreme is a great bike for twenty-somethings of this generation. You could buy the CBZ just for its brand name! The name CBZ was adopted form CBR, a popular 600 cc bike in foreign countries. With numerous features that add to the uniqueness of the CBZ Xtreme, I would order the bike right away.

2011 Volkswagen Golf Reviews
The 2011 VW Golf has a powerful engines and a near-luxury cabin that reviewers say is worth the Golf’s high price. The 2011 Golf also has a diesel option that gets great fuel economy.
The Volkswagen Golf has cruised American streets since 1974. Along with the name change, VW gave the 2010 Golf a makeover. The Golf stands out within the class for its available diesel engine.
The Honda Fit will save you around $2,500 compared to the Volkswagen Golf, and averages 28 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway, which beats the base Golf's fuel economy rating. In the name of going green, the Honda Civic Hybrid beats the Golf’s fuel economy, but matches its price. Details: 2011 Volkswagen Golf
The Golf is largely unchanged for 2011. Volkswagen hasn’t released the 2011 Golf’s pricing, but the 2010 Golf starts at $17,620 for the 2-door, 2.5-liter engine, and the four-door TDI starts at $22,959.
Outside of a few features being shuffled around, the Volkswagen Golf remains unchanged for 2011.
Compared to other vehicles in its class, the Volkswagen Golf feels positively upscale. With either trim level, four-door models gain power-reclining front seats.
The TDI models can be equipped with adaptive xenon headlights, a premium Dynaudio sound system, and a navigation system and (on four-door models) rear seat airbags.
The base 2011 Volkswagen Golf 2.5L is powered by a 2.5-liter five-cylinder that produces 170 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque. The EPA estimates fuel economy at 23 mpg city/30 mpg highway and 26 mpg combined for the automatic and 22/30/25 mpg for the manual.
Safety
The 2011 VW Golf's standard safety features include antilock disc brakes, stability control, front-seat side airbags and full-length head curtain airbags. Rear-seat side airbags are unavailable on two-door models, but are optional on four-door models.
Interior Design and Special Features
The Golf is actually much nicer than the new 2011 VW Jetta sedan.
Whether you choose the two- or four-door route, the Golf's interior passenger space remains the same. Access to the two-door Golf's rear seats is made relatively painless thanks to front seats that slide easily out of the way. The split-folding rear seats bump that figure up to 46 cubes.
The 2011 Volkswagen Golf's high level of interior refinement is echoed in its composed, solid feel on the road. At highway speeds, the Volkswagen Golf is significantly quieter than other hatchbacks. The Golf's gasoline engine provides smooth power throughout the rev range.
The Volkswagen Golf can't really be called sexy, but there are some classy details baked into its three- and five-door bodies--particularly around the rear door cuts. Stacked up against the dashing new Elentra, the Volkswagen Golf doesn't necessarily look dated, just conservative. The interior's solidly designed and built, more so than VW's own Jetta sedan that shares the Golf's assembly line.
Front passenger space is ample, but the three-door's rear seats might seem a little cramped. The turbocharged Volkswagen GTI is reviewed separately.
