2011 Dodge Charger Reviews

With the 2011 Dodge Charger, Dodge has gone even more overboard. Not all the change in the Dodge Charger is quite so graphic, but the Charger's new flares and filigrees "pop" on camera and strike a deep masculine nerve, like finding out Catholic girls'-school uniforms are suddenly back in style. While the V-8 engines in the R/T and SRT8 remain the most desired models, much of the 2011 Dodge Charger model line is V-6-powered. Upgraded shocks, control arms and bushings don't seem to release any road feel while touching up the Charger's ride quality lightly. Despite the highly emotional styling of the 2011 Dodge Charger, which might just turn off some sensible, comfort-minded shoppers, the Charger doesn't fare too badly as a stock American-issue sedan. Big door cut-outs, a tall roofline, wide and lightly bolstered front seats and fairly spacious back seat put the Dodge Charger near the front of the line for all sorts of pedestrian uses, from police duty to real-estate caravanning. Feature-happy Chrysler is following hotly on Ford's heels, if a step or two behind.

The 2011 Dodge Charger receives a number of significant upgrades, including freshened styling, higher-quality interior materials, an all-new and more powerful 3.6-liter V6 engine, a retuned suspension, electric-assist power steering, more standard features and a new electronic interface.

The 2011 Dodge Charger is a good example. The most noticeable change regards the Charger's new exterior styling. The "2011 Dodge Charger" is a large sedan that's offered in two basic trim levels: SE and R/T. Entry-level SE models are rear-wheel-drive only, while the R/T can be had with a choice of rear- or all-wheel drive.

The R/T model comes with a V8 engine, a performance-tuned suspension, 18-inch alloy wheels (19-inch on AWD models), xenon headlights, fog lights and a rear spoiler (RWD models only). Inside, available options include leather upholstery, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, heated and cooled cup holders and power-adjustable pedals. Other options include adaptive cruise control with front collision warning, a blind spot warning system with rear cross-traffic alert, a Garmin-sourced navigation system with Sirius Travel Link service, and a nine-speaker Alpine surround-sound audio system.

The 2011 Dodge Charger's power train choices have been greatly simplified. All-wheel drive is offered for the V8-powered R/T.

Standard safety features for the Dodge Charger include electronic stability/traction control, antilock brakes, and side-impact airbags for front seat passengers, a driver-side knee airbag, side curtain airbags and active front head restraints.

Power and interior accommodations have improved on the 2011 Dodge Charger, making it an exciting alternative to affordable large cars. Reviewers generally dislike the Charger’s five-speed automatic gearbox, which is the only transmission available. If you need affordable large car practicality, but want muscle car performance, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a car that walks the line better than the Dodge Charger.

The 2011 Dodge Charger poses an interesting option to consumers, straddling the line between muscle cars and affordable large cars. Muscle car shoppers who don’t need the Charger’s extra interior space should check out the Chevrolet Camaro.

2012 dodge charger First Drive reviews

Up front, the blacked-out cross hair grille is all Dodge, and with the SRT plaque fitted to the Dodge Charger, it's evident that is is more than an average sedan. From nose to tail, the SRT8 runs 200.3 inches, and if you pace off that distance, you'll arrive around back to find more classic Charger DNA. With our rear gripping the seats, our hands are free wrap around the large, meaty steering wheel, which features a design unique to the SRT family of vehicles.

It's the cleanest sounding stock audio system we've heard in some time, and it's just one item that SRT8 owners can boast over standard Dodge Charger owners.
Dodge has fitted the updated sedan with a 6.4-liter Hemi V8, which produces 470 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 470 pound-feet of torque at 4,300 rpm. That miserly tech pairs perfectly with the all-new active valve exhaust system to help allow the Dodge Charger SRT8 run on four cylinders over a greater range of engine speeds. We know that Chrysler is hard at work on its next generation of transmissions. Will it wind up in the SRT8 king of the hill? In sport mode, the Dodge Charger SRT8 also firms up the suspension damping.

The 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8 is equally happy to blast down canyon roads as it is to chuck its oversize body into Willow's high-speed bends. Click on the touchscreen and head over to the SRT Performance Pages. Besides displaying a variety of digital gauges and fore, aft and lateral handling figures, the system also displays a time slip for 0-60 runs, along with eight-mile, quarter-mile and 60-0 mph braking distance. The SRT8's invisible musculature and bone work keeps it stable and safe, which also helps keep us flat (and mentally calm) pushing through both slow speed switchbacks and the high-speed bends. Composure at that far end of the speedo is a result of the well thought-out aerodynamic enhancements, SRT-tuned independent front and rear suspension with active damping and rolling stock comprised of 20x9-inch forged aluminum wheels.

Slotted behind the aluminum wheels is a set of Brembo brakes, with four piston calipers squeezing 14.2-inch slotted and vented front rotors in front and joining forces with 13.8-inch, four-piston rears to haul in the any unwanted speed.

The combination of the chassis, suspension, engine, tires and braking systems are a perfect fit for the 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8. That mid-$40,000 price point plants the 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8 in a rather unique section of the market. Powerful super sedans typically command serious coin. In truth, it seems the closest competitor to the Dodge Charger lies right in the same SRT family. The 2012 Chrysler 300 SRT8 starts at $47,995, has the same power output and infotainment setup, yet wears a slightly softer suit. The 300 SRT8 is the slightly introverted yin to the Charger SRT8 and its extroverted yang. In this particular instance, you can't make a wrong choice, and the Charger SRT8 is proof that Chrysler can create a modern muscle sedan properly.

Starting with the base models, the cars themselves have been improved, which makes the SRT transformation an easier feat. The brand is stable with Gilles at the helm, and the president and CEO "vows to protect SRT."

When Dodge redesigned the Dodge Charger for 2011, we knew that an SRT8 version would follow shortly. Thank a high-gloss black grille and grille surround for that, along with Hemi/SRT fender badges, the Dodge crosshair grille, and a scooped hood with a heat extractor. Interior changes consist of aluminum fiber accents, a flat-bottomed heated steering wheel with paddle shifters, SRT's Performance Pages (basically, an on-board readout that allows drivers to measure 0-60 times, g-force loads, and other data), heated and cooled bolstered seats with Nappa leather and suede, heated rear seats, and unique bolster material that matches the seats to the door trim. An adaptive-damping suspension system keeps the Charger planted at speed, especially in "Sport" mode. The Charger SRT8 rolls on 20-inch wheels, and Dodge has it pegged for a .88G skidpad result.

Braking comes from 14.2-inch vented rotors in front and 13.8-inch vented rotors in back. A Ready Alert Braking System prepares the brakes for a panic stop when the driver quickly releases the gas pedal.

The previous Dodge Charger SRT8 was fast, stable, and with the exception of a boy-racer hood scoop and spoiler, a bit of a sleeper. Muscle cars that can stop and turn?
Ralph Gilles, SRT brand president and CEO, calls the Dodge Charger SRT8 the extrovert of the 2012 SRT8 class--and with good reason. The aggressive SRT exterior treatment includes a gloss black grille, sculpted hood with black air exhauster, rear spoiler and dual four-inch exhaust tips make the car look menacing.

A new 6.4-liter Hemi V8 powers the menacing sedan, replacing the previous 6.1-liter Hemi V8. On the suspension front, 2012 marks the additional of a new adaptive damping suspension offering two modes: auto and sport. Auto monitors speed, steering angle, brake torque, throttle and acceleration and adjusts damping accordingly, while sport locks in a stiffer, track-ready setup.

Touches in the cabin included the leather-wrapped, flat-bottom SRT steering wheel with paddle shifters, aluminum interior trim and heavily bolstered SRT front bucket seats. While the Charger SRT8's suspension tuning isn't as aggressive as the Challenger's, it still helped the Dodge Charger blaze around California's Willow Springs Raceway with little trouble. On the road, the Charger SRT8 is quiet and rolls down the ride comfortably.

Dodge 2010

Dodge 2010
                                           Dodge 2010
Confirmed for 2010 are redesigned full-size sedans in the form of a new Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300. Chrysler is currently putting some research and development money into looking into the fuel efficiency of these models. This is spearheaded specifically because of the recent partnership with Nissan. The next generation Charger is expected to merge the styling of the current version with a more classic look from the famous 1968 Chargers, one of the most stylish vehicles ever built. We expect that most of the “look” will be based on the current Charger rather than the 1968s. The Charger will be less boxy, to improve noise and gas mileage; Styling now reports to Engineering’s Frank Klegon, and aerodynamics has taken a more advanced position. As with the police cars, expect modified axle ratios, made more practical by the greater power from the V6 and V8 alike. Yet, all-around performance is to go up; the revised V6 and the 2009 Hemi changes will make this possible. The 3.6 liter is supposed to provide 280 hp with better mileage than the current 250 hp 3.5 liter.
                                            Dodge 2010
Charger should continue to come in four trim levels: base SE, mid-level SXT, sporty R/T, and high-performance SRT8. All should remain rear-wheel drive, and all-wheel drive will likely remain available on the SXT and R/T. SE should continue to have a 178-hp 2.7-liter V6 engine and a 4-speed automatic transmission. Likely remaining optional on SE and standard on SXT is a 250-hp 3.5-liter V6; a 4-speed automatic transmission should continue to be standard with rear-wheel drive while AWD versions should continue to have a 5-speed. R/T models will likely continue to get a version of Chrysler's 5.7-liter Hemi V8 with 370 hp. R/T should continue to have a 5-speed automatic and Chrysler's Multi-Displacement System cylinder deactivation.
                                            Dodge 2010
The 3.5 V6 is fine in town and has good passing punch. Dodge says it does 0-60 mph in 9.3 seconds with rear-drive. R/T has ready power from any speed. Multi-Displacement System switches between four and eight cylinder operation without interrupting power flow. SRT8 models are bona fide muscle cars, reaching 60 mph from a stop in just 5.0 seconds. In Consumer Guide testing, rear-drive 3.5 V6 models averaged 17.9-21.6 mpg; extended-use-test Charger SXT averaged 19.4 mpg over 6147 miles. SRT8 averaged 14.3 mpg in mostly city driving, 16.9 in mostly highway driving. Dodge recommends regular-grade gas for the 2.7 V6, 89-octane for the 3.5-liter V6. Premium-grade gas is recommended for both V8 engines. SRT-8s were expected to eventually use a production version of the 392 (6.4) Hemi with about 450-475 hp and MDS for better gas mileage. The SRT8 in reality will likely have a 425-hp 6.1-liter Hemi V8 and a 5-speed automatic without cylinder deactivation. The SRT8 should continue to have unique suspension tuning, as well as specific interior and exterior trim. The V6 roars noticeably under hard acceleration. V8s make a throaty full-throttle growl--SRT8s sound like race cars--but are quiet enough in gentle cruising. R/Ts and SRT8s have more tire roar than other Chargers. Wind rush evident at highway speeds.
                                            Dodge 2010
Available safety features should include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, curtain side airbags, and front side airbags. Likely remaining optional on the R/T is the Road/Track Performance Package, which includes 20-inch wheels, performance suspension, and heated front seats. Also likely to be available is Chrysler's uconnect multimedia suite, which can include a wireless cell phone link, 30-gigabyte hard drive for storing digital music and picture files, and a navigation system with real-time traffic information. The Charger features linear steering with good road feel with good stability at highway speeds. These big cars aren't nimble in quick direction changes, but they have fine balance and grip in turns, SRT8s in particular. R/T models feel firm and planted. All have confident stopping control, but some testers complain of long pedal travel. Test rear-drive V8 models negotiated rainy roads without undue slip. AWD is the recommended solution for all-weather traction.
                                             Dodge 2010
Instruments are large and easy to read, but the steering-wheel rim cuts into view of turn-signal arrows and gauges for fuel and temperature. Most controls are within easy reach, though some are too low to easily adjust while driving. The navigation system is fairly easy to operate, though some functions could require fewer button presses. Interior materials are a slight grade below those of Chrysler 300, but are appropriate for these prices, with solid feel and a nice array of padded surfaces. 2010 Charger is spacious with ample headroom and legroom. Generously sized seats, but flat cushions allow occupants to slide during aggressive cornering. SRT8 and Charger R/T with Road/Track Performance Group address this problem with sport buckets. SRT8 seats have good lateral support and outstanding comfort. Thick front roof pillars obscure view to front corners. Charger has easy entry and exit with great room for two. Legroom and foot space are plentiful, even with front seats lowered and pushed well back. Head clearance is tight for six-footers. Enough thigh support for long-trip comfort, but the middle rider must straddle the bulky driveline hump. Charger's trunk is usefully sized and shaped, but a relatively small opening complicates loading bulky objects. The standard split-folding 60/40 rear seatbacks enhance versatility, though they don't lay completely flat.
                                           Dodge 2010
Vast passenger room, available all-wheel drive, and solid construction make Charger a good pick. The 3.5-liter V6 provides more-than-adequate power, as does the R/T versions' Hemi V8. SRT8 models are true modern muscle cars.

Dodge’s unapologetically muscular sedan is back and rowdy as ever. 2011 Dodge Dakota Review

Dodge considers the Dakota the first mid-size pickup truck, but by now most manufacturers have caught up and added similar models to their lineups. “When it comes to towing, the 2011 Dodge Dakota is still top dog among midsize pickups,” says Edmunds.com. Most reviewers agree that the Dakota is a good vehicle for consumers who need a truck to be a truck. The 2011 Dodge Dakota is a good workhorse of a small truck, with its large towing capacity, storage options, and optional V8 engine.

The 2011 Dodge Dakota is a midsize pickup truck that's offered as either an extended cab or crew cab. Extended-cab models feature a 6.4-foot cargo bed, while crew cab models are fitted with a 5.3-foot bed. The Big Horn adds 17-inch alloy wheels, body-colored bumpers and front fascia, a rear under-seat storage system (crew cab models only), keyless entry, full power accessories and cruise control (optional on ST). The Big Horn and Laramie extended cabs can also be equipped with a front bench seat in place of the standard buckets. Every 2011 Dodge Dakota is powered by a standard 3.7-liter V6 engine that produces 210 horsepower and 235 pound-feet of torque.
Rear-wheel drive is standard on all Dakotas, with four-wheel drive being available as an option. Fuel economy registers an EPA-estimated 15 mpg city/20 mpg highway and 17 mpg combined for rear-wheel-drive models, and 14/18/15 mpg for 4WD versions. In performance testing, a 4WD Dakota Laramie crew cab with the V8 accelerated from zero to 60 mph in 7.6 seconds. When properly equipped, a V8 Dakota can tow up to 7,250 pounds.

This year the 2011 Dodge Dakota gets four-wheel antilock brakes and side curtain airbags. In Edmunds brake testing, a 4WD Dakota Laramie crew cab came to a stop from 60 mph in 126 feet -- a good distance for a pickup.

In Insurance Institute for Highway Safety frontal-offset crash tests, the extended cab got a second-best "Acceptable" rating while the crew cab Dakota earned a top "Good" rating.
The Dakota's interior layout is actually pretty straightforward and perfectly functional.

The standard bucket seats are very comfortable, while the available power seats offer a wealth of adjustability.
Truck lovers will be happy to know that the new 2011 Dodge Dakota is now available for purchase. Powerful with the V8 engine option, it is underpowered when it comes with the standard V6 engine.

For the final year of its current design, the 2011 Dodge Dakota compact pickup truck will remain largely the same. The Dakota is offered in two body styles, extended and crew cab. Holding up to 6 passengers, the crew has a 5.3 foot bed and traditional rear doors.

Though the per gallon mileage was the lowest for the Dakota, this model runs on E85 ethanol blended fuel to keep the costs low. The 2011 Dodge Dakota handles and drives better than the typical truck does. There is a feeling of body lean taking the turns, but the new Dakota is still effectively controlled compared to other pickup trucks. As far as overall ride quality is concerned, the 2011 Dodge Dakota’s ride is average for a truck. The factory issued Dakota engine is the 210-horsepower 3.7-liter V6 with a 4-speed automatic transmission. The Dakota offers part-time four wheel drive or rear wheel drive. With the V8 engine, the new Dakota boasts a nice 4.7 liter engine and provides 302 horsepower when run at 5,650 RPM’s. In such a configuration, it offers a peppy 329 feet pounds of torque when run at 3,950 RPM’s. The downside to this mightier engine design is evident in the 14 miles per gallon around town and only 19 miles per gallon on the highway. With this V8 engine, the Dakota provides ample power for in town driving, as well as sufficient pickup for passing on the highway. The V6 engine configuration is another story altogether.

The new Dodge Dakota’s interior is fairly comfortable. The interior noise levels are quieted impressively for a truck. The cabin has plenty of legroom and headroom. The bench-style rear seating of the extended-cab holds two adults comfortably, but three is a little tight. The Crate ‘N Go collapsing storage units and folding rear seats add even more room.

The Dakota is not the most reliable truck. This is especially troubling given its high sticker price when compared to other compact pickup trucks. The Toyota Tacoma is the most popular compact truck, being easier to handle and drive, but the Dakota has far more towing and hauling power. The 2011 Dodge Dakota has its pros and cons both. In the pros category, this is a fairly nice light pickup truck with big truck hauling and towing capabilities for the price, particularly at entry level. Higher end models are pretty pricey for many truck buyers’ budgets. The Dodge Dakota is a solid but relatively expensive choice for a compact pickup truck.

2011 Dodge Durango Reviews

2011 Dodge Durango
2011 Dodge Durango
The Dodge Durango was once a hot-selling SUV and a big part of the Dodge brand. But shifting consumer tastes, rising fuel prices, and the global recession conspired to kill the Durango and its sibling, the Chrysler Aspen. Now, after two years on the sidelines, Dodge has rejoined the game with a redesigned 2011 Durango.

the new Durango sends outdated, hard-edge plastics to the recycling bin. The Durango mates better with the essentially carryover five-speed automatic in the Durango than it does with Chrysler's new six-speed gearboxes. Accompanying the drive are fantastic HEMI drivetrain noises. With a 119.8-inch wheelbase, the Durango is 75.8 inches wide, and has 84.5 cubic feet of cargo space behind the front seats. Inside, the Durango is notably comfortable and refined—especially for a vehicle without a luxury badge. The driving position in the Durango is excellent, with a nice, upright vantage point, and the seats are supportive and comfortable. The base Durango Express is priced just below $30,000 and includes a pretty impressive feature set; but Bluetooth is an option and upgrades like power seats, seat heating, push-button start and a power telescoping steering wheel are not offered.

After a one-year hiatus, the Dodge Durango emerges with a new body and a new attitude. As much as 7,400 pounds can be pulled behind a properly equipped 2011 Durango, a top figure for a large crossover SUV with three rows of seats.

Truly, the Durango's sabbatical has done wonders.
The 2011 Dodge Durango large crossover SUV is available in base Express, midlevel Crew and top-of-the-line Citadel trim levels. Standard equipment on the Express includes 18-inch alloy wheels, foglamps, heated sideview mirrors, remote engine start, full power accessories, cruise control, tri-zone automatic climate control (includes separate rear air-conditioning), a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, a fold-flat front passenger seat, a 60/40-split-folding and reclining second-row seat, a 50/50-split-folding third-row seat and a six-speaker stereo with a CD player, satellite radio and an auxiliary audio jack.

Stepping up to the Citadel adds automatic xenon headlamps, 20-inch wheels, a chrome grille insert, rain-sensing wipers, a sunroof, leather seating, heated front and rear seats, an eight-way power passenger seat, a power-adjustable and heated steering wheel, adaptive cruise control and a navigation system (with Sirius Travel Link).

The "2011 Dodge Durango" is offered in several powertrain combinations. You can choose between rear-wheel drive, all-wheel drive and four-wheel drive. The full-time AWD system is only available with the V6 engine. Fuel economy is 16 mpg city/22 mpg highway and 18 mpg combined for the V6 with all-wheel drive.

The AWD V8 gets an estimated 13 mpg city/20 mpg highway.
Antilock disc brakes, stability and traction control, trailer sway control, front side and side curtain airbags are standard on every 2011 Dodge Durango. In Edmunds brake testing, a Durango Crew came to a stop from 60 mph in 119 feet -- a very good distance for a large crossover.

Modern and functional, the 2011 Dodge Durango's cabin has been designed with family-style versatility in mind. Regardless of trim level, the design is attractive and features soft-touch materials in place of the former Durango's hard, cheap plastics.
With the second- and third-row seats folded down, the Durango can carry up to 84.5 cubic feet of cargo.

Low-end torque is not a strong suit of this V6, but once the 2011 Dodge Durango is moving, the engine pulls respectably. On a long interstate cruise, the Durango provides a quiet and relaxed cabin environment.

2012 Charger SRT8 Comes

Hot on the heels of the redesigned 2011 Dodge Charger comes the 2012 Charger SRT8.
Dodge rolled out a slew of new rides Wednesday at the Chicago Auto Show including the quite Evo-esque "2012 Charger SRT8". However, unlike Mitsubishi’s Mick Jagger-mouthed counterpart, the SRT8 has a very respectable 465 hp 6.4 liter Hemi with matching torque numbers. The car also reportedly has an active intake manifold backed by an active exhaust. It also promises a broader power curve and better gas mileage.

The 2012 Charger SRT8 looks commanding upfront. I’ve never thought Chrysler’s full-size sedans wore a rear spoiler well, either, and the Charger SRT8 is no different.

I hope the metal-and-leather steering wheel makes it into all of Chrysler’s SRT products. Introducing a car with over-the-top power has been a dubious exercise in the past half-decade, representing reckless waste in a world turned green followed by needless extravagance in a world turned broke. I can’t vouch for fuel efficiency; Chrysler says this will be a little better than before, but that’s little reassurance given the old Charger SRT8 got an EPA-estimated combined 15 mpg.

New Dodge Durango Heat at the 2011 Chicago Auto Show

Dodge has lit up its new Durango Heat at the 2011 Chicago Auto Show. Outside, the Durango Heat wears the same front fascia, side skirts and monochrome treatment as the more powerful crossover, and it even comes packing the same low-slung suspension and 20-inch wheels. Dodge has ditched the third row to save a few pounds to increase both performance and fuel economy.

The new Dodge Durango is a really sharp-looking SUV. Yeah, it’s a family hauler; but it’s a stuff-hauler/stuff-tow-er/stuff-carrier the likes of which have never been seen. The 2011 Durango wraps the SUV up in a leaner, meaner-looking package. Ralph Gilles, Dodge’s president and CEO, was actually talking about the Charger when he mentioned subtle “Coke bottle” curves in the product line, but I saw those same curves in the Durango. Bikes? Yep. Skis? Yep. Trailer? Yep. Great hair? Yep.

Stay tuned for a MotherProof.com test drive to find out--The Durango Heats gets the 295-hp 3.6-liter V6 and a lower price tag--Dodge describes the Durango Heat as a "new affordable performance package."

It will be difficult to tell the Durango Heat and the Durango R/T apart. Dodge said the Heat also gets aggressive suspension tuning, performance steering, 20-inch wheels with all-season performance tires and a premium audio system with 10 speakers.

2012 Dodge Challenger Preview

2012 Dodge Challenger – Mopar fans will be very happy with the current plan for 2012 Dodge Challenger, but that may or not be changed in line with management-new FIAT infused see fit.
2012DodgeChallengerDebut

A debut at the Detroit Auto Show 2011 is almost given, especially considering the small lineup otherwise brand new vehicle to debut on the U.S. coast.

The 2012 Dodge Challenger will be one awesome muscle car! Maybe some "2012 Dodge Challenger" concept videos and pictures! When the new 2012 Dodge Challenger does come out, I will feature tons of videos and images of the 2012 Dodge Challenger!

Current plans include minor tweaks to the sheet metal, a emblem-less nose, and brand new engines for entry-level and high-end models. All models are expected to hit the streets in late 2011, though the SRT8 refresh might be delayed a little longer as its proposed motor may be scrapped and replaced by a Pentastar-based motor instead.

The focus of the debuts in the U.S. auto show circuit are going to focus heavily around the new Pentastar-series motors.
Unfortunately, Ford has proven that direct-injection V6s can sell muscle cars with their latest Mustang and even Chevrolet is selling a great number of fast V6-powered Camaros. With government regulators breathing down Detroit’s neck and customers clamoring for lighter vehicles with more power, the days of the HEMI may be numbered, even when it comes to the 2012 Dodge Challenger.

2011 Dodge Grand Caravan Reviews

The family-friendly Dodge Grand Caravan has always been an American car staple. Marketed as the ultimate “Man Van,” it is clear that the Dodge Grand Caravan is attempting to change people’s minds about what a minivan means.

The Dodge Grand Caravan has never been a very quick accelerating machine, being a minivan.
As far as fuel economy goes, the 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan is much stronger than most of the minivans in its class. On our test drive, we noticed that this let us improve the Grand Caravan’s city gas mileage.

2011 Dodge Grand Caravan is available for a spacious interior, kid-friendly. 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan features are good on paper, the construction of this vehicle has been criticized in some reviews of the car. For the new year, "2011 Dodge Grand Caravan" is scheduled for an overhaul. Under new management, the new Grand Caravan can take care of these criticisms.

Three trim levels are available on the current Grand Caravan, but this could change for the 2011 model year.
Other functions available are likely to include DVD entertainment, start the engine again, and integrated child safety seats. The performance of the Dodge Grand Caravan 2011 could change with the new redesign, especially with the new engine Pentastar. 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan is based on a line of vehicles has been around for some time.
Honda Odyssey
Toyota Sienna
Kia Sedona
Mazda Mazda5

"2011 Dodge Grand Caravan" can be the vehicle of your choice, but one of these other vehicles could make more sense to you instead.

For 2011, Chrysler has rehabbed the Dodge Grand Caravan with a mini-facelift. In a class of minivan designs that includes the Odyssey's new lightning-bolt sideview and the Sienna's tarted-up swagger—not to mention the Quest's overt Flex cues—the Grand Caravan suddenly seems more boxy than ever. Chrysler's hacked the list of available drivetrains down to one. Minivans are about utility—passengers and cargo—first and foremost, and the Grand Caravan is comfortable to the max. The fold-away second-row seats are a great idea. We've never heard a kid beef about the trade-off of skinny seat cushions, though admittedly the harder-to-remove business-class seats in the Sienna and Odyssey

2011 Dodge Avenger Reviews

That Dodge Avenger you just rented from Avis shares its basic platform with the handles-on-rails Mitsubishi Evo.

An uninspired kid brother to Dodge’s feral-to-ferocious Charger sedans, the Avenger elicited little praise at its 2008 model year launch when it replaced the Stratus sedan. A victim of Daimler cost cutting and Chrysler indifference, the Avenger was high on Fiat chief Sergio Marchionne’s “fix list” when the Italian automaker took a stake in the Michigan automaker about 18 months ago.
The clouds have since parted, revealing what’s shaping up to be a potentially sunny future for Detroit’s number 2.5 and, with an open mind, we recently spent some time behind the wheel of a heavily revised 2011 Dodge Avenger sedan.

The front and rear fascias have been redesigned and snappy revised wheels are on offer, but the latest Avenger hardly makes last year’s model look like old news. If Dodge can get buyers inside of the Avenger, they might change their minds. Most happy new "Dogde Avenger" owners will pop their hoods to find Chrysler’s familiar 2.4-liter four-cylinder, which has been reworked for improved efficiency and a more docile demeanor. Mated to a four-speed automatic in stripped down models, most Avenger 2.4s will get a six-speed automatic. Avenger falls well short of being a sports sedan, but its ride and handling is certainly class competitive for once

Don’t automatically cross the 2011 Dodge Avenger off your midsize sedan shopping list just yet.

The mid-size 2011 Dodge Avenger sedan gets a new drivetrain, new suspension pieces and new front and rear clips as Chrysler tries to rehab the image of this rental-car mainstay.

The Avenger's sheetmetal carries over virtually unchanged. Inside, the Avenger gets a new dash, which looks great, with convincing quantum leaps in style and materials. The lower half of the Avenger's dash seems to wear lower-grade plastic than the 200, and some of the same carryover gauges and buttons are more noticeable, surrounded by better-quality bits.

A 2.4-liter, 173-horsepower four-cylinder carries over from last year's Avenger as the base engine in the "2011 Dodge Avenger", but the new 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 is new across the board to the Chrysler lineup. The new V-6 drops 283 horsepower in the front-drive Avenger's engine bay, with 260 pound-feet of torque twisting through a six-speed automatic transmission. In five different trims, the 2011 Dodge Avenger spreads out standard features and options.

The 2011 Dodge Avenger is a continuation of last year’s 2010 Dodge Avenger that received mixed reviews from most critics--Although the metal guts of the Avenger have remained largely the same from 2010, the 2011 Dodge Avenger has slight cosmetic modifications that should enhance its profile and grille appearance. The Avenger will afford drivers a budget-friendly alternative to the Chrysler model--The engine of the 2010 Avenger has been - for the most part - carried over into the 2011 model. --The interior is largely unchanged from the previous model.

The 2011 Dodge Avenger is projected to retain approximately the same resale value of the previous year’s model--There are many models that offer some serious competition to the Dodge Avenger series.

Dodge Ram 2500 Truck Reviews

The 2011 Ram Heavy Duty models, the Ram 2500 and Ram 3500, are comfortable and highly capable, ready for serious towing or heavy-duty hauling. A new Ram Outdoorsman model expands the 2011 Ram 2500 and 2011 Ram 3500 lineup.

Ram Heavy Duty models received a major overhaul for the 2010 model year along with refinements throughout. The Crew Cab got larger, giving Ram a unique cab lineup in the segment. The Ram Heavy Duty was restyled for 2010 to go with the new 2009 Ram 1500 light-duty. The Ram Heavy Duty is not identical to the light-duty trucks, but many interior and some sheetmetal parts are the same. The Ram Outdoorsman replaces the TRX and is available in many Ram 2500 and Ram 3500 configurations.

A full-power contender in the battle of pickup trucks the Dodge Ram 2500 offers a wide range of options for customizations which make it an ultimate truck for any use. The 2011 Dodge Ram 2500 will be available in late Summer 2010 and carries over from the 2010 model year with the following specs
The inside of the 2011 dodge Ram 2500 is, perhaps its second most impressive feature aside from its massive towing capability. When properly configured and equipped, the "2011 Dodge Ram 2500" is capable of towing up to 13,450 pounds and has a payload capacity of just over 3,100 pounds.

Constructed on a strong chassis that's modular in design to allow multiple configurations for cabin size and box length, the heavy-duty Ram dominates the road with forceful exterior styling and your choice of gas-fired or turbo-diesel muscle, designed not only to pull the truck's hefty weight, but also tow incredible loads.

The Dodge Ram 2500 configures as a two-door Regular Cab or a four-door in a new-for-2010 Crew Cab design or extended-length Mega Cab, with a truck box in back which measures 230.4-inches or 248.4-inches long, and either rear-wheel two-wheel-drive (2WD) or four-wheel-drive (4WD) traction format.
Dressed in some serious sheetmetal, the heavy-duty Rams look strong, assertive and impossible to miss.

Regarding powertrains, the Ram 2500 trucks list two powerful engines, with a standard heavy-duty V8 rendition of the fabled HEMI engine design boasting 5.7-liers of displacement and making 383 hp at 5600 rpm and 400 ft-lbs of torque at 4000 rpm. Tow capacity for the Ram 2500 Regular Cab maxes at 13,500 lbs, while the Crew Cab Ram 2500 caps the tow load at 12,650 lbs. and the Mega Cab version runs to 12,850 lbs.

Depending on the truck you pick, the steering systems vary. 4WD Ram 2500 models get a recirculating ball system that yields precise tolerances. The Ram Power Wagon is not some muscle-bound SUV; rather it's a "Ram 2500 truck" designed for 4WD forays over rugged terrain.

2011 Dodge Journey Reviews

News out of Chrysler about the 2011 Dodge Journey crossover is a case in point. The 2011 Dodge Journey benefits from Chrysler’s PowerNet electrical architecture, a new system that powers the crossover’s electronic communications system. The big news in terms of visible interior changes is the uConnect Touch connectivity system. UConnect Touch, say Chrysler officials, is competitive with the MyFord Touch and SYNC system. Chrysler hopes to change that with the next-generation uConnect Touch system in the Journey (and two other models yet to be identified).

The automaker’s excellent new three-spoke steering wheel greets the driver. Our midgrade Journey Crew tester featured nice cloth upholstery, fine leather around the steering wheel and soft touch surfaces throughout.

What hasn’t changed are some of the Journey’s still awkward proportions. Its destiny as a global-style seven-row MPV gave it a more van-like driving position with an upright windshield, fairly low seating position and an oddly-positioned gear lever. Getting going
Only the basic Journey Express gets the outgoing model’s 2.4-liter four-cylinder mated to a four-speed automatic. Smooth and refined, it powered our all-wheel-drive Journey feature vehicle with impressive performance. Front-wheel-drive is standard, but we only had the opportunity to spend time in the snow-belt model.

Our test Journey rode smoothly and confidently and gripped well through curves. A sportier Journey R/T is due out next Spring. While Chrysler’s dated 2.4-liter is on offer, availability is relegated only to front-wheel-drive base models – a rather 1990s-style approach. 2011 Dodge Journey base price range, $22,245-32,740.

Most of those shortcomings are fixed in the 2011 Journey. The new six-speed automatic's shift quality? Back inside, the Journey's unchanged packaging gets topped with a sprinkling of new features and improved actions. Four adults, or two adults and three or four kids, are happy enough inside the Journey, with flat seats and right-sized head and leg room taking good advantage of the Journey's proportions. On mid-grade-and-up Journeys, the second-row seat slides fore and aft to free up more leg room, and on the same versions, front seats have storage built in beneath the seat cushion, and the center console gets a new tilt-and-slide top. Flip everything down behind the front seats, and you can fit a half-dozen flat-screen TVs in the Journey's 67.6 cubic feet of space.

2011 Dodge Durango - latest car dodge

2011 New Dodge Durango. Dodge has designed SUV, seven-passenger quiet ride and handling with grace and serenity that is expected of a modern utility vehicle. Now there is a legitimate choice of V6 that provides a solid mileage. Cabin furnishings, too, now up to par with the competition, and much of the material better than what you'll find in any other family-oriented SUV.

However, Durango has been out of the game for two years, and as Mr. Favre has shown, you can not just waltz back and compete at a high level. Unlike last time, this Durango will compete with the Chevrolet Traverse, now fixtures between three-row crossover SUVs, the Ford Explorer and 2011 awaited. There is a Toyota Highlander and Mazda CX-9, also, that both are worthy rivals.

In this group, 2011 Dodge Durango stands apart as the only SUV that offers a choice of V8 and towing capability bona fide, but not the fastest or the most fuel efficient, and certainly do not have a place to sit roomiest. Yep, way back from retirement will be difficult.
